Theodosia A. G. Tamborlane of Dunedin, Florida, is an abstract artist. Her paintings use dynamic colors and combine gestural movements with geometric lines and forms in a deliberative yet free spirited process. She creates series paintings dedicated to particular themes.
Since 2008 her works have been in over 100 solo and group exhibitions in New York City, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Florida. She has been awarded three First Prizes and featured in art magazines and the Manhattan International Art Online Gallery and has lectured frequently. Her paintings are in private and public collections in the United States, Japan and the Netherlands. She has 110 paintings placed in six New Jersey Hospital Foundations. Her 2014 New York City Partners International exhibition “Ideas in Abstraction 2008-2013" was comprised of 85 paintings from ten differing series. Johnson & Johnson Corporate 2015 solo exhibition presented the series, “Five Seasons.” In 2016, her new “City Scapes” series was first shown and her “Cast Shadows” series in 2017.
She studied at the Art Students League and the School of Visual Arts in New York City. She is a member of the Florida Professional Association of Visual Arts, the Dunedin Fine Art Center, Dunedin, Florida, and the New Jersey Contemporary Art Group. She holds an Associate of Fine Arts Degree from Union County College, Cranford, New Jersey and AA from Peirce College, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, BA from Drew University, Madison, New Jersey, MPA from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Rutherford, New Jersey, and JD from Seton Hall Law School, Newark, New Jersey,where she taught classes.
Theo is currently represented by the Art Blend Gallery in Fort Lauderdale,Floria.
